TEKEVER raises €520m and expands into Denmark with EIFO, targeting Nordic drone sector growth
TEKEVER's €520 million Series D led by Denmark's EIFO marks its Nordic debut in Odense, strengthening the region's defence tech ecosystem.

TEKEVER has secured €520 million in Series D funding as it launches operations in Odense, Denmark, marking its first move into the Nordic region with the support of Denmark’s Export and Investment Fund (EIFO). The expansion aims to bolster TEKEVER’s footprint in the European defence technology market, particularly in autonomous drone and robotics capabilities for critical infrastructure monitoring.
The new Danish base gives TEKEVER direct access to one of Europe’s most advanced drone and robotics ecosystems. The company’s strategic choice of Odense reflects Denmark’s growing reputation as a hub for robotics innovation, potentially enabling TEKEVER to accelerate the development and deployment of AI-centric autonomous systems.
According to TEKEVER, the funding round will be used to enhance its technology and scale operations. EIFO’s participation demonstrates Denmark’s commitment to strengthening its local defence technology landscape and fostering international partnerships. The move also aligns with the Danish government’s ambition to solidify its role within Europe’s rapidly evolving defence and security technology sectors.
Meetings in Copenhagen with Denmark’s Minister of Defence, Jeppe Bruus, have underscored the importance of the expansion, highlighting opportunities for collaboration with local firms and institutions in the Nordic region. TEKEVER’s entry is expected to intensify competition as both domestic and international players vie for leadership in critical infrastructure monitoring and autonomous defence systems.
The expansion carries both opportunity and risk. While TEKEVER stands to benefit from Denmark’s robust ecosystem and potential new partnerships, it faces challenges integrating into a competitive market with established local and global companies. For investors and policymakers, the development signals growing cross-border interest and investment in Nordic defence technology amid heightened focus on infrastructure security.
