Danish Startup Today Raises €2.8 Million to Expand AI Platform for Financial Advisors
Copenhagen- and Berlin-based startup Today secures €2.8 million in seed funding to enhance its AI-powered sales system, highlighting investor appetite for fintech innovation.

Today, a Danish AI startup with operations in Copenhagen and Berlin, has raised €2.8 million in seed funding to expand its sales operating system for financial and insurance advisors. The funding round was co-led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Insurtech Gateway, underlining growing investor confidence in artificial intelligence solutions for the financial sector.
The round also attracted participation from SeedX, Lucid Capital, former HDI CEO Herbert Rogenhofer, and Tech11 founder Pierre Dubosq. Their backing signals broad support for AI-driven tools aimed at increasing efficiency and competitiveness among European advisory firms.
Today will use the new funds to enhance its AI platform, which is designed to streamline sales and advisory processes for financial and insurance professionals. By automating routine tasks and providing intelligent recommendations, the platform promises to help advisors focus on client relationships and complex decision-making.
The deal reflects a surge in European investment activity in the fintech and insurtech sectors, as startups race to develop digital tools that can meet the evolving needs of financial services providers. While the announcement does not directly impact EU–Latin America relations, it highlights European leadership in fintech innovation.
For investors and established financial institutions, the move represents an opportunity to partner with emerging AI solutions that can drive operational improvements. However, scaling such platforms to meet market demand remains a challenge, and the sector’s momentum is closely tied to sustained investor interest in AI technologies.
The funding round positions Today to compete in an increasingly crowded market, as financial advisors seek technology that can deliver both regulatory compliance and commercial advantages.
