Netsec raises €8.93 million to scale AI cybersecurity as European investment accelerates
Netsec secures over €8.93 million in funding led by Partech, signalling a surge in European investment in AI-powered cybersecurity amid escalating digital threats.

Netsec, a Franco-Italian cybersecurity and managed IT services provider, has secured more than €8.93 million in equity funding to develop its AI-native solutions, according to the company. The investment round, led by Partech, comes as European investors step up their focus on digital security in response to growing cyber threats.
Primo Capital and View Different, the investment vehicle of former Amazon executive Diego Piacentini, joined the round. Netsec said the new capital will be used to scale operations and enhance its cybersecurity offerings across Europe.
The funding round underscores a trend of increasing venture capital activity in the European cybersecurity market. As cyberattacks and digital risks escalate, investors are prioritising startups with advanced AI-driven capabilities, which promise to automate threat detection and accelerate incident response.
Netsec’s AI-native approach positions it at the forefront of this shift, with the company planning to expand both its technical capabilities and market footprint. The fresh investment is expected to intensify competition among European cybersecurity providers, many of which are also leveraging artificial intelligence to address a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
The deal highlights the growing importance of cybersecurity investment for the broader EU–Latin America economic corridor. As trade and digital connectivity between the regions deepen, robust cybersecurity solutions are seen as critical to safeguarding cross-border data flows and business operations.
For investors and policymakers, the round demonstrates confidence in the scalability of AI-powered cybersecurity platforms. However, sector analysts note the challenges that come with rapid expansion, including managing operational risks and maintaining the effectiveness of security solutions as threat actors become more sophisticated.
With demand for digital protection rising across Europe and Latin America, analysts expect further investment in startups offering integrated, AI-enabled cybersecurity services. The participation of leading venture firms such as Partech also signals an appetite for early-stage innovation in the sector, which could drive new partnerships and cross-border collaboration in the months ahead.
