Vensum Power raises €9m to accelerate AI data centre power tech in Europe and Latin America

Vensum Power, a Finnish deeptech startup, has secured €9 million in Series A funding to expand its power conversion technology for AI data centres and electrification, according to the official funding announcement.

The funding round was co-led by existing backer Lifeline Ventures and new investors Larsen & Toubro Group and Eviny Ventures, with continued participation from Grid.vc and Harjavalta Ventures. The latest investment brings Vensum Power's total funding to €15.2 million.

Vensum Power's technology is designed to improve the efficiency of energy use in AI data centres—an area facing surging demand across Europe and Latin America as artificial intelligence workloads drive up energy consumption. Efficient power conversion is becoming increasingly strategic, with data centre operators and technology firms seeking solutions to reduce energy costs and meet sustainability targets.

The company’s expansion is timely as European policymakers push for greener digital infrastructure and Latin American markets seek to modernise their energy systems. Investors see opportunities for Vensum Power to partner with large technology companies and data centre operators needing advanced energy solutions.

However, the company faces challenges from a competitive market and the ongoing need for capital to scale production and R&D. The demand for efficient power conversion is expected to intensify as AI adoption accelerates globally, positioning Vensum Power at the intersection of the energy and technology sectors.

For investors and corporate partners, this funding round signals confidence in deeptech innovation and the potential of European startups to deliver critical infrastructure for the AI-driven economy.
