Italian HealthTech Group Gpi Expands Across Latin America with €18.3 Million in New International Contracts

Italian healthcare technology provider Gpi has reported €18.3 million in new international contracts during the second quarter of 2026, reflecting continued global demand for digital healthcare solutions and accelerating expansion across Latin America.

The new agreements reinforce the company's international growth strategy, with software solutions accounting for the majority of new business while pharmaceutical logistics automation also continued to generate strong demand in several global markets.

Latin America becomes a strategic growth engine

The most significant milestone during the quarter was Gpi's expansion across Latin America, where the company significantly broadened its commercial footprint.

Building on its established operations in Brazil, Chile and Colombia, Gpi has now entered Argentina, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru, extending the reach of its healthcare software portfolio across ten countries in the region.

The expansion has been driven primarily by demand for the company's Gpi4Med.BLOOD platform, designed to manage transfusion services, together with its Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) used to digitalise laboratory operations.

The growing adoption of these technologies reflects increasing investment by healthcare providers in modernising clinical processes and improving patient safety throughout Latin America.

Healthcare software remains the core business

Software solutions generated €15 million of the new contracts signed during the quarter, confirming Gpi's strong competitive position within the international digital healthcare market.

The company's portfolio supports hospitals, laboratories and blood management centres through platforms that streamline clinical workflows, improve operational efficiency and facilitate data-driven healthcare management.

As healthcare systems continue their digital transformation, demand for integrated software solutions is expected to remain a major driver of international growth.

Global expansion continues beyond Latin America

Alongside its progress in the Americas, Gpi also strengthened its international presence through new contracts for pharmaceutical logistics automation worth €3.3 million.

These agreements further expanded the company's activities across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, China and the Middle East, reinforcing its position in hospital pharmacy automation and healthcare logistics.

The quarter also marked Gpi's first commercial breakthrough in the Nordic region following the signing of a contract with a leading hospital in Finland.

Digitalisation reshaping healthcare systems

Healthcare providers worldwide are accelerating investments in digital technologies as they seek to improve efficiency, optimise clinical workflows and respond to growing demand for healthcare services.

Solutions such as laboratory information systems, blood management platforms and automated pharmaceutical logistics are becoming increasingly important as hospitals modernise operations and strengthen patient safety.

Gpi's expanding international footprint reflects this broader trend towards digital healthcare transformation across both developed and emerging markets.

Long-term international growth strategy

With operations now spanning more than 70 countries, Gpi continues to pursue a strategy focused on international expansion, innovation and long-term partnerships with healthcare institutions.

The company employs approximately 7,800 people worldwide and reported €546 million in revenue during 2025, underlining its position as one of Europe's leading providers of healthcare software and technology solutions.

The latest contracts further reinforce Gpi's ambition to support the digital evolution of healthcare systems while expanding its presence in fast-growing international markets.
