Cortas raises €1.47 million to deploy AI-driven property management in Denmark

Cortas, a Copenhagen-based proptech startup, has raised €1.47 million in a pre-seed funding round backed by PSV Tech, JRNY Capital, EIFO, and technology entrepreneurs including the founders of Flatpay and Spirii.

The company plans to use the capital to enhance property management services by combining in-house software development with operational expertise. A central focus is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation to streamline processes and improve tenant experiences.

Cortas's approach seeks to address inefficiencies in the traditional property management sector, where manual processes often result in delays and higher costs. Leveraging AI, the company aims to automate routine administrative tasks, optimize maintenance scheduling, and provide real-time insights to landlords and tenants.

The initiative comes as European proptech investment has shown resilience, with startups increasingly turning to AI-driven solutions to differentiate themselves. While the €1.47 million funding provides a foundation for Cortas’s local ambitions, the limited scale and Denmark-focused strategy may constrain the company’s immediate growth prospects.

However, the startup’s model could set a precedent for further innovation in the sector, especially if initial results attract additional investment and support expansion into broader European markets. Investors are watching how Cortas executes its strategy and whether its AI-powered platform can deliver measurable operational improvements.
