Tryp.com Secures €1.9M, Hits 10 Million Users, Eyes Expansion Beyond Europe
Danish traveltech startup Tryp.com raises €1.9 million, bringing total funding to €5.9 million as it prepares to expand into Asia and the Americas after reaching 10 million users.

Tryp.com has raised €1.9 million in fresh capital, a move that marks a new phase for the Danish traveltech firm as it surpasses 10 million users and prepares to expand into Asia and the Americas.
The funding round, led by Point Capital Partners and joined by Iberis Capital and several angel investors, brings the company’s total financing to €5.9 million since its founding in 2021. Tryp.com was established by six engineering students in Odense, Denmark and is now headquartered in Copenhagen, with a licensed travel agency operation in Lisbon.
The new investment will support Tryp.com’s ambition to become a global player in the travel industry. The company’s rapid user growth and its partnership powering WIZZ Holidays underscore its growing influence in the sector, as stated in the funding announcement.
Tryp.com’s expansion comes at a time when European traveltech startups are seeking new growth avenues beyond the continent. The company’s planned entry into Asia and the Americas could substantially increase its market share and revenue, according to stakeholders in the funding round. For European investors and companies, the move highlights the increasing globalisation of digital travel platforms originating from the region.
However, entering new regions brings heightened competition and operational challenges. The traveltech sector is marked by established global players and requires continuous investment to sustain growth, a risk acknowledged by the company’s backers. Tryp.com’s ability to adapt its business model and differentiate itself will be closely watched by investors and industry observers.
The company’s partnership with WIZZ Holidays—an established name in the European leisure travel market—may provide a foundation for further brand recognition as it enters new markets. This collaboration illustrates the growing role of technology and AI-powered solutions in reshaping the travel industry, both in Europe and globally.
The latest funding round signals continued investor interest in traveltech, despite broader uncertainties in the technology and tourism sectors. Tryp.com’s trajectory from a student-founded startup to a platform with millions of users exemplifies the sector’s potential for rapid scale and cross-continental expansion.
